The very best and easiest homemade smoked burgers
Why add all the fuss? Less the smoke do the work and these are amazing every. single. time.
Equipment
- Smoker
- Meat thermometer
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 Tblsp burger seasoning (I like Weber)
- 6 strips microwave bacon
- burger toppings (cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, bbq sauce, guacamole – whatever you like!)
Instructions
- Cut up the bacon in to small pieces.
- Add it to the ground beef, along with the seasoning.
- Mix well, with your hands preferably. Shape into 6 equal balls and flatten to form patties.
- Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes. This will help them hold together! Start your smoker while the burgers rest.
- Smoke until the temperature reaches 150, then add cheese.
- Once the cheese melts and the burgers have reached an internal temperature of 155 degrees, remove from smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes (this will allow the juices to settle and the internal temperature will continue to rise)
- Top with your favorite toppings and get ready to hear the “mmmm”s from your dinner guests!
