Texas Sheet Cake Cookies
The flavor of the cake and the icing, but in cookie form and OH SO FUDGEY!! Good luck waiting until they cool to eat them!

Ingredients
Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips melted
Icing
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup pecan or walnut pieces optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.2. Cream the butter and sugar, then add the other ingredients, mixed after each one.3. Drop dough onto your baking sheet, about a heaping tablespoon each.4. Cook for 7-8 minutes then allow them to cool.5. Meanwhile, cook the icing by bringing the first 3 ingredients to a boil, then removing the pot from the heat, and adding the powdered sugar. Whisk to combine.6. Pour a little of the warm icing over each cookie and sprinkle with pecans if desired.
